Myself

I was born and raised in Japan, came to the US when I was around 45.

At first, I found Yoga as a tool to be physically healthier, as 45's old woman, then over time, I learned that Yoga changes my life and it can be my life purpose, so I became a Yoga Instructor because I was so fascinated and excited to share with people about my experience through Yoga practice. When I received a 200/300Hr hours of Yoga teacher certificate, I promised myself that I will dedicate my practice and keep connected to my inner self so I am able to be good at teaching.

Besides my Yoga journey, in 2020, I started to learn Qi Qong breathing techniques with two Japanese Qi Qong teachers, and that helped me to be always grounded, calm, and with a clear mind. The breathing exercise helped me a lot in balancing my chakras and energy flow in Nadhis. By keeping my breathing exercise, It didn't take much time like noticing my energy flow after the long-term practice of Yoga, and I soon recognized how the Qi Qong breath works for me to connect to my energy channels and chakras. I now have my idea of Yoga. "Poses are for the Breath"

I am now 55 years old but I wasn't always healthy in my past. I had several minor health problems such as irritable colon syndrome, and Postanal depression which I needed to put myself under medications. However, I didn't like living with medication so decided to change myself into a new person. I quit medication little by little and learned a lot about overcoming self-depreciation. Then I started the journey to heal my Trauma from my childhood. As I overcame my trauma, my physical condition became better and better. I became a person who loves myself whomever I am. Then, I started to help people background in nursing, and experience as a group leader working at a non-profit group, which helped people deal with traumas, I am able to understand in a clear fashion how the body works and how to use yoga to help people improve their lives mentally and physically.

I am so excited to share about myself and my experience with yoga. I  like to see people in my classes feel at peace through yoga postures and other techniques, physically, emotionally, and perhaps spiritually. Join me on my yoga journey and together you can deepen your understanding and physical well-being as you meet your true self, and keep yourselves connected to life without a lot of effort. I will do my best to help you learn and enjoy all that yoga and life have to offer.

I teach Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Slow vinyasa, Yin/Yang, Yoga for cancer survivorship, and trauma healing. In my class, I often combine skills and share what she has learned through all of my experiences.
